BREAKING IN YOUR BASEBALL HAT

Hate looking like a dork because your hat isn't broken it? It's tough, you're trying to be cool and want to have a perfect hat but you don't want to put the time into breaking it in. There is a little trick to help the process along. This is meant for adjustable hats. If you've got a fitted one, read our article on shrinking fitted hats.

First, set the adjustable strap to the largest setting. OK it doesn't have to be the largest, but you want it on the big side.

Second, roll the ends of the bill together until they touch. You definately don't want flat bill hat so this will take care of it right away.

Finally, while you hold the left and right sides of the bill together tuck it into the hole made by the adjustable strap. that's right bend it in toward the dome of the hat and let it poke through the hole.

What's going to happen is this will start to break it in the way you like. Leave it this way overnight. Wear the next day and then repeat. It may take a few days, but it will speed up the process. It's kind of like a new pair of shoes, you want those to break in quickly so you wear them... do the same with your hat, wear it. This is also a great way to transport your hat on vacation in your suitcase. It's all rolled up so you can't "crush it"
